Ok, so the thing about cheese is that it’s just darn right good. You either like it or you don’t. You can either eat it or you can’t, and if you’re in the majority that can’t, well, I will enjoy it for you. Cheese is one of those things that I love most on pizza. But overall it’s good with everything or with nothing at all. I don’t have an early memory of the first time I’d ever had cheese, if I did, that would just be weird. What I do have, is an appreciation for how much better it can make a lot of foods taste. So, I took a shortcut to when making this bread. Rather than make the dough from scratch, I decided to use Pillsbury grands biscuit dough and make a pull apart bread (monkey bread). The best part of putting this together was the aroma that filled my house as the bread was baking; it was just so welcoming and warm.

Ingredients

2 tubes Pillsbury grands biscuit dough (cut into 8th’s)

Fresh rosemary – chopped

Fresh chives – chopped

Onion (optional)

Cheddar cheese

Cracked black pepper

1/4 c unsalted melted butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a loaf pan and set aside. Cut each biscuit into eights and place in a large mixing bowl. Once complete, add the above ingredients and mix until well coated.

Next scoop the mixture into the loaf pan and top with more cheese, then put it in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Once baked, remove from the oven. Let it cool and serve warm or eat cold.

Enjoy!
