1 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
1/3 c. white sugar
1 1/4 milk
1 egg (remove white membrane)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla
DirectionsPreheat oven to 350. Lightly grease the donuts tin and set aside. In large bowl, combine dry ingredients and set aside. Using a stand mixer whisk the egg and sugar together for 2-3 minutes until frothy.
Next mix in the oil and vanilla. Now incrementally add the dry ingredients and the milk, batter should appear smooth in texture.
If the batter looks too thick, add more milk (1/4 at a time) until you get a loose consistency; not too runny though.
Fill the tin with batter using the 1/4 measuring cup, the place in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
Finally, using a knife or tooth pick, poke a donut to see if it’s fully baked. If the toothpick or knife come out clean, you’re good to remove from the oven.
Lastly, allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack. Serve with ice cream or eat alone, either way ENJOY!
