Honey Garlic Brussel Sprouts

Brussel sprouts. Tried them as a child, didn’t like them, and didn’t have them again until the day I recently. As much as I love cabbage, my sentiment isn’t the same where this vegetable is concerned. But I recently had the idea to try them again, after seeing a post on a blog that I follow. The post I saw, was for a spicy recipe, but I decided to go sweet with mine; only because I wanted this experience to be better than the one from my childhood. LOL

Ingredients

1 small pkg baby spinach (washed and chopped)
1 bag brussel sprouts
1/2 yellow, red, orange bell pepper
1/2 small onion
1 medium carrot
Sauce:
1/2 c melted butter
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 c honey
Season to your taste with the following:
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic powder

Directions


Preheat oven to 400; bake 20 minutes.
Place seasoned vegetables on a line baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then brush on the honey garlic sauce. Place in the oven, remove after 20 minutes.
ENJOY on it own, or serve with your choice of meat, poultry or fish
